Poem: Your anchor - Nassau, Bahamas
I am a love-hold to your ship,
that drifts from shore to shore.
Your anchor beloved,
keeping you safe and secure.
Cling tightly to me
like a fisherman to his rod.
Commune with me as a parishioner
with his omnipotent God.
Reel me in with your eyes
whenever you feel lost.
Like a parent who’s child is kidnapped,
I’m willing to pay any cost.
Use me whenever you are tossed to and fro
by the problem’s of the sea.
I won’t let you sink my dear,
because you are a part of me.
The depth of my abiding love
is deeper than the ocean floor.
I am your anchor beloved,
destined to keep you safe and secure.

Poem: Thoughts of you dancing in my head - Nassau, Bahamas
Thoughts of you
dancing in my head,
Holding me close to you,
in and out of bed.
Carrying me away
when I least expect;
Breaking down all walls of resistance
with a thunderous effect.
At work I see your gorgeous eyes
on the computer screen.
While driving in my car
I repeatedly hear the disk jockey
say your name.
When I pass a nearby flower shop
I desire to purchase the largest bouquet.
No matter how far I run
from the memories,
I can’t get away.
This is the worst breaking up story
I have ever read.
Still in love,
with thoughts of you
dancing in my head.

Poem: For the sweet smell of a flower - Nassau, Bahamas

Adam sacrificed his innocence,
Samson surrendered his eyes.
Othello chose to live
and Romeo chose to die.
All for the sweet smell of a flower,
all for someone they deemed to be eternally true.
All in the name of a woman,
truly there is no "thing" a man will not do.
For you I would pledge my heart,
for you I would sacrifice my life.
As you bear all the virtues and more
that I could treasure in a wife.
To make you happy and fulfilled
in all of your future endeavors.
My dear Edward abdicated his throne,
Lancelot deceived his king,
My father chose to travel one hundred miles,
and I chose to spend all of my savings
on this wedding ring.
All for the sweet smell of a flower,
all for a love they deemed to be eternally true.
All in the name of a woman,
all my precious darling for someone like you.

Poem: Sparkling Like Embers - Nassau, Bahamas
Eyes sparkling like embers,
face as brilliant as the sun;
There is a burning in my heart,
and its telling me that you are the one.
For the first time in many years I
look through the eyes of a child.
The slightest thought of you
is driving my imagination wild.
These eyes, your eyes,
peer through this man to his very soul.
I try so hard
to keep my hands off of you,
but temptation is taking its toll.
I hear the angels singing in chorus
every time you smile.
Someday I hope to hear them again,
when I await your royal presence
at the end of a chapel aisle.
My dear, in my heart
you are second to none.
And as I peer into your eyes
sparkling like embers
I know that you are the one.

I loved the movie "Roller Bounce" starring Bow Wow and Meagan Good. Brooke Valentine and friends made this fun music video in 2006 to promote the film. Enjoy!
Poem: The day I lost my muse - Nassau, Bahamas
The unearthly silence is a rag band
strumming the blues.
It has haunted me constantly,
“ever since” the day I lost my muse.
She won’t be the first vision of inspiration
nor will she be the last.
But she is the key to future breath-taking creations
that will remain forever locked in the past.
Today my river of innovation and rhymes
refuses to flow.
Prematurely unleashed was the final curtain;
damned is the show.
I didn’t seek “Enlightenment”, she found me.
And when she left
the darkness of routine days consumed me.
I showered her with admiration;
she mistook it for lust.
Cast a famine upon our relationship
and withered its fruits to dust.
Her absence cut me; her mistrust cut me deep.
Cursed this soul to graze the pastures of mediocrity,
condemning this shepherd to be a mere sheep.
No sparkling ideas, no soothing lyrics;
a machine with a blown fuse.
Sad wisps of smoke
where there was once a passionate fire,
”ever since” the day I lost my muse.

Poem: I can't move on - Nassau, Bahamas

and turn off the lights.
Block every sound out of my mind,
close my eyes tight.
Recede to the depths of my thoughts,
deeper than I’ve ever gone.
Then I see your face,
and realize that I can’t move on.
Countless times this man has tried
to permanently forget how your radiant smile
fostered endearing light
to his heart after every sunset.
In the dark I shiver,
because the lonely night is so cold.
Every pore in my body longing
for a living blanket to hold.
Haunted by the memories we share,
more delighted than afraid.
Each tender embrace being a burgundy rose
whose petals never fade.
Although I have so much to live for,
and so many things to do.
I would trade them all for the chance
to be loved solely by you.
I awake, eyes grudgingly greeting the dawn;
Look at the closest mirror,
see your face,
and realize that I can’t move on.

No matter what you say or do.
If I could spend a year with you
then I would be willing to live
a lifetime alone.
Knowing that for a brief moment in time
that you were my queen upon my throne.
In your diamond eyes I see
a wonderful future of joy and love overflowing.
You are an awesome treasure beloved;
you are a scintillating dream worth living.
No one else on earth comes close to you
in satisfying my compatriotic needs.
In your bountiful vineyard
I wish to toil forever
and give birth to planted seeds.
I hope that one day you will be able to see
your inner beauty through my eyes.
See a woman whose personality
illuminates my world daily
like the sun at sunrise.
My dear, realize that no other woman can replace
the pure happiness you bring to me.
Rock my world, make my head sway,
and titillate my mind
like the notes of a symphony.
Every time we meet, every time you speak,
every time we dance I want you to know,
That wherever you are,
whether near or on a star,
my love is destined to go.
Woman, God has blessed me with your presence
to nurture my field (my heart) like the dew.
No matter what you say or do,
I will never give up loving you.

Poem: No You - Nassau, Bahamas
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIIwz03c_AgFbFamkVskp5EoJgBLZ5Ats5HNviQT8VDuJQk6GTEQO5BiBq0Mdnf9K1_nPBtdl_B9FmQIQH_fpRz3f7erQEKdNmVQxb980DZ8pTnURWWAAoWzA8hyphenhyphen6oXD_XWofP/s320/100_6062.jpg)
rolls over
and realizes that there is “no you.”
Escapes the solace of her sheets
and walks upon life’s icy tile
with out you, her familiar shoe.
The eerie silence teases her
with sounds of your voice
from a previous yesterday.
The awareness of being empty within
has been haunting her
since the day you went away.
She looks in the adjacent closet
and spots idol hangers
that used to bear the outfits you wore.
There is more space now,
more cohesion now,
but her heart yearns for more.
She sees visions of your welcome face
in the mirror;
She smells the phantom scent of your cologne.
But each bold step this woman takes
on life’s tile reminds her that she is alone.
So she returns to her nest,
retreats to her sheets,
and stares aimlessly into the blue.
Then she closes her eyes, sighs in disbelief,
and attempts to live another day
with “no you.”

Music Video: Sean Combs (Diddy) - Last Night feat. Keyshia Cole
This is a pretty video, has a beautiful model and Keyshia Cole sounds great. The Pince sample of "When Doves Cry" is cool. Diddy should not sing/rap but collaborating with exceptional singers on this album makes this song good.

To lay on frigid sheets
with only a pillow to hold tight.
Tell me that you will soon be at my door.
Ready and willing to accept
all the passion I have in store.
My body is waiting to hold you near,
To caress your neck and nibble each ear.
Smell your perfume, sip your lips,
Wrestle with your tongue
and squeeze your hips.
Wrap you in my arms,
fondle your midsection,
Massage your chest
and evoke an erection.
Shed your undergarments,
feel your forest against my skin.
Spread your gates apart
and guide my ship in.
Press the letter “G” on your typewriter
every chance that I get.
Gyrating to and fro,
drenching the sheets in sweat.
Love, don’t let me be alone tonight,
To lay on frigid sheets
with only a pillow to hold tight.
Tell me that you will soon be at my door.
Ready and willing to accept
all the passion I have in store.

Poem: I love you in every way - Nassau, Bahamas

there are only six words I can say,
And they are,
“I love you in every way.”
Only a soul whose heart
truly belongs to another
knows the way I feel.
Who hungers for her companionship,
thirsts for her sex appeal.
Is mesmerized by her touch,
raptured by her sweet smell.
Desperate for the taste
of her luscious lips,
as if controlled by an ancient spell.
Constantly seeking
the soothing sound of her voice
like a miner for a lump of gold.
Always searching for her gorgeous face,
your face;
the face of a woman I long to hold.
This man who thanks God for you
only has six words to say.
And they are,
”I love you in every way.”

Poem: The Bedroom Window - Nassau, Bahamas
I look out of the bedroom window,
and it amazes me;
Because your eyes,
the doorway to my soul
are the next things that I see.
I place a mat on the kitchen table
and take out a plate.
Gazing at a reflection within the china
of a candlelight dinner date.
Later I slip into my bathtub,
my torso glistening wet,
Suddenly startled by a watery reflection
of us kissing on the beach before the sunset.
I peer out my bedroom window,
staring deep into space.
Beholding another reflection
of your sweet angelic face.
I walk to the bedroom mirror,
a humbling reflection I see.
The vision of myself,
a man who desperately misses his lady.
