Poem: Your anchor - Nassau, Bahamas

I am a love-hold to your ship,
that drifts from shore to shore.
Your anchor beloved,
keeping you safe and secure.
Cling tightly to me
like a fisherman to his rod.
Commune with me as a parishioner
with his omnipotent God.
Reel me in with your eyes
whenever you feel lost.
Like a parent who’s child is kidnapped,
I’m willing to pay any cost.
Use me whenever you are tossed to and fro
by the problem’s of the sea.
I won’t let you sink my dear,
because you are a part of me.
The depth of my abiding love
is deeper than the ocean floor.
I am your anchor beloved,
destined to keep you safe and secure.
