Poem: To My "Everything”

To my "everything”,
to the reason why I love?
To the noble cloud that blankets me
with refreshing rain from above.
To the angelic wings
that give me dream-like flight.
To the ivory moon
that illuminates my once lonely night.
To the sharp blade at the end of this handle
known as a knife.
To the melodious sound
that brings my silent ears to life.
To the engine that provides a cooling purpose
to this fan belt.
To the crystal flame
that evokes this chocolate candle to melt
To the soothing crimson blood
that pumps through my heart.
To the sharp point
that grants stick ability to this dart.
To the welcome ground
beneath my weary feet.
To the cultivated sugar
that makes this lollipop sweet.
To the fresh air
that these nostrils willingly breathe.
To the woman that this man was created
by God to need.
To the devoted finger
that wears this glistening wedding ring.
To the reason why I love,
to my “everything.”
