Poem: From here to there
Take my kiss from here to there,
Take it to her
in your transparent arms with care.
Lift it high to the stars and let it soar.
Across the shimmering waves
to my island home’s shore.
Over angular rooftops
and street lamps, bright.
Through a bedroom window
towards a waning light.
Upon her thirsting lips, let it rest.
To comfort and caress as eggs in a seagull’s nest
by their mother’s breast.
Let her know that I miss her,
let her feel me near.
Take my kiss from here to there.
