Hosted Toastmaster Club 6796 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Competition

I received a desperate call from a friend to be the Contest Master for Toastmaster Club 6796 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Competition. I did not receive the instructions until last night and I had never taken a role of this magnitude before. I was also informed before the meeting that I had numerous responsibilities that were not on the original instruction sheet. Intimidated, frustrated and overwhelmed I took over the podium and commanded the crowd. It was one of my shining moments, my jokes were a little stale but the crowd was very entertained. I spent $12 on the raffle (our secret), lost two of my tickets and still won the raffle. It was a clock and I was definitely in need of one. Hopefully I can return to my retirement as a non active Toastmaster. Less work!!!
