Poem: Everlasting - Remembering Tara :-(

My Godsister's cousin passed away earlier this year. She was full of life and younger than me. She lives in these pictures and she is not forgotten. I commerate her memory with a poem I wrote for someone whose loved one had also slept the eternal sleep. This poem is my parting gift to Tara as I remember her today -
Everlasting
Everlasting with every crystal tear,
everlasting though you are not near,
Flesh and bone may disappear
but everlasting is the love we share.
Words not spoken expressed through hugs and deeds.
Wants cast aside
to fulfill the other’s needs.
Countless sacrifices unknown,
emotions seldom displayed.
Memories of lessons learned; smiles that never fade.
The heart is the place
where we will have communion forever.
It’s a cord of consolation that death and time
cannot sever.
Everlasting, means never truly saying goodbye,
Everlasting is our love, like a rose that never dies.
