Poem: She e-mailed me

She
e-mailed
me
After one brief encounter,
she e-mailed me
and I will never be the same.
When I saw her hotmail address
I thought I was experiencing an enjoyable daydream.
How I wish the drama of life
could always be this way.
When a woman steps electronically into your world
and makes your day.
I wrote her a reply and made her repeatedly blush.
She told me with remarks and emoticons, “Boy you are too much”.
She teased me about my website
and blindsided me with her own words of poetry.
Her pearl-like words were and pure and wholesome like her beauty
She gave me her phone number
and I called those seven digits instantly.
She asked me why I wasn’t married and about my favorite hobby.
This angel of the internet has captivated me,
my thoughts echo her name.
She e-mailed me, she spoke to me
and I will never be the same.
