Early fathers day lunch on Saturday 18Jun06 / Sunday my niece returns to Tampa

I made reservations on Wednesday for a party of 8 at Gaylord's restaurant. To my surprise on Saturday morning the place that accepted my reservation and where I had danced the night before was closed. The family eventually went to Cafe Johnny Canoe. The crew consisted of my parents, my brother- Eathon, my cousin from London - Jordana, my brother from Tampa - Damien, Peggy - his wife and their daughter Maelle.

Everyone enjoyed lunch. Dad decided to take us to meet the Prime Minister's wife and her family (Christie/Hanna). We also visited Elva Rolle and family and got to tour a condominium that Dad recently sold. I was dog tired from the smoke of the previous night's club action so I canceled the Latin Night with my cousin. She decided that she wanted to play video games and began challenging me in Tekken Tag and Tekken 4 for hours. We played American Idol. A game I bought to actually watch other play. It was fun but long and the contestants looked flaming gay. The songs were lame too. To my cousin's dismay I was chosen by the public as the American Idol even though she had more points than me. I won for singing "Oops I did it again" - NOoooooo! A Britney Spears song. It sounded awful when my male character sang it but a win is a win is a win. I think we wrapped up around 2am and my cousin woke up with a swollen wrist. My two brothers and their friend Mark were still playing a backgammon tournament with my father.

I woke my brother and his family at 6:30am to catch their 9:30am flight then went back to sleep. My sister-in law woke me up to get kisses from my niece.

Later I took my cousin to New Providence Community Church (NPCC) for worship. The powerful sermon was about God's grace and we took communion. Yeah I take communion - dancing has nothing to do with my salvation especially when I don't drink alcohol which may lead to drunkardness. We went to the Fish Fry, had a couple snappers, some conch salad and watched Brazil beat Croatia 2-0 in the World Cup. I repaired the table tennis table, Eathon setup an exercise machine for Dad and now I am just waiting and hoping that Dallas Mavericks are able to beat the Miami Heat in game 5 of the NBA finals later tonight. So sayeth the Anti-Shaq (Yes, I am an LA Laker fan)!
