Friday Night - Dancing and Perspiration - 94FM Party & Blue Note
Another weekend in Nassau, Bahamas. I got a call earlier in the week from RT to be her dance partner at the Heineken Bash at Fort Charlotte on Friday. She bought the tickets and its rare that Bahamian women buy tickets so I was definitely game. She was following my lead actually. I bought us tickets to a Soca concert a month or so ago.
Work ended and I decided to check out the Blue Note at its new location for the first time. Met a few people from my old audit firm, drank drinks for $10 from 7pm to 9pm and listened to music. I saw certain people pulling ghost moves (dating someone that they are not supposed to like someone else's boyfriend/significant other) at the side tables. The women were skinnier than me which meant one thing - Jail Bait - Me, myself and I don't do Jail Bait (10yrs younger than me)! I rushed to my office because I forgot my dance partner's number and ended up calling her sister. I got the typical sister response that the only reason she can hear from me is to get in contact with her sibling. Definitely a true statement.
My English cousin is still in town but she said that she felt like chilling the night away at the house.

I went to pick up RT and we went to the 94FM weekly Friday session at Gaylord's Restaurant parking lot. I forgot my membership card and almost had to pay $15 each (I need to find that card). DJ CRX took my suggestion from last night and had some special effect lighting but the crowd was much thinner than last week. RT and me were looking bored until the Soca was played. We took the floor by storm and danced sweet T&T music, Reggae and Bahamian Calypso until 11pm (the first drop of rain). We almost stopped because RT noticed cameras being pointed in our direction. We went to Cafe Habana, had a drink and ran when the Latin music got turned up a notch.

We arrived at Fort Charlotte, walked a long way from the parking lot to the Heinken Bash. The crowd was sparse and the band was walking past us to setup their equipment. After thinking about the money to attend, the snobbish looking crowd and the probability of rain we decided to go to the Blue Note. Ok, I decided to go to the Blue Note since I already paid to get in earlier.
The Blue Note was smoky and overflowing with youngites (Jail bait). The music was slamming and once the Soca music came on RT and I took over the dance floor. Did I forget to mention that I was in the same high shcool class as the DJ (Leander Bethel).

We twisted, shaked, jooked, waved, dipped and wined our hips/waist for an hour straight. Sweat/perspiration all over the place. RT released that hidden Jungless during the reggae segment and gave my pelvis a good workout. We sat down and I saw my cousin in the club. She came with my brother and was vibing to the beat. I sat down for a while but when the Hip hop blasted through the speakers I became a dancing machine. We left my brother and cousin there around 1:30am and I dropped RT home. It was a fun night but as usual my sinuses were inflamed due to the smoke from the club and I woke up with major head trauma. Thank God for Panadol (I'm allergic to aspirin). This is the single life!
