Poem: Guide Him

Take this son dear father
and guide him to your home.
Until he dwells in the land of spirits
where there is no flesh and bone.
Make him more than a mere pursuer
of manmade goals.
Enlighten him with holy living testimony
to witness and save souls.
Let him know that you love him,
let him tell others how much you care.
Let him be a dazzling beacon to the lost ones
so that they may also find you near.
Don’t leave him moving from project to project
but never satisfied.
Show him through your tested words why you died
so that in him your love may reside.
Carry all his hefty burdens
and grant his mind & body peace.
Allow him to spread your victorious gospel
to all who will hear until his heartbeats cease.
Carry him upon a lofty cloud
to sit close to your spectacular throne.
Take this son dear father
and guide him to your home.
