Junkanoo in June - Saturday food & Music

In the continuing saga of out of town guests being entertained by yours truly I took my cousin to Junkanoo in June on Saturday. My younger brother Eathon drove. It was my first time at the annual festival in years. The festival had a stalls with Junkanoo costumes, history of the parade and musical instruments. We watched the Junkanoo parade up and down the same street by the Roots - Junkanoo group. The music was excellent and my cousin took many pictures of the festivities. A local band performed and we were informed that there would be performances all night. We ate a lot of food. I had a rainbow daiquri (strawberry, mango, pina colada), cotton candy, shrimp kebob, peas n'rice, stuff roasted chest. The festival was extended to July so I guess I will go again for the food.
