Poem: Magnificent Light - Nassau, Bahamas

She radiates with innocence and expectation
like a newborn foal.
There is a magnificent light
in her myriad eyes,
it radiates from the depths of her soul.
Like the sweet alluring perfume of a royal rose,
I am drawn to her side.
Like a fine bottle of wine
her worth is exhibited by the essence inside.
I wish to partake of her enchanting elixir,
her perfect conversation forever.
Delight in her ladders of success
and cheer her onwards through each endeavor.
She is my place of luxury,
beauty and contentment,
she is my Xanadu.
When she politely smiles
my worries fade away
like the crystal morning dew.
She is the global flag that provides purpose
to this once lonesome flagpole.
There is a magnificent light
in her myriad eyes,
it fills my center and makes me whole
