such a glorious sight.
There are only two stars
in the sky tonight.
The first burns with a gorgeous fury,
pure and true,
Displaying a spellbinding aura
with a shimmering hue.
The second emits a soothing
powdery glow,
Blanketing my eyes with its captivating rays
like the winter snow.
Each interstellar jewel glowing bright
with malevolent adoration.
Mentally inducing a spiral of scintillating emotions
and alluring sensations.
Filling my head with fantasies
of an engrossing romance;
Compelling me to fall deeply in love
after just one glance.
Vision indelibly focused on your face
with sheer delight,
Never have these eyes witnessed
such a glorious sight.

Give me one more hug
to take me through the night.
Grab me closely to your side
and hold me tight.
Squeeze the midsection of my back
gently with your hand.
Sway slightly, slowly moving back
and forth where we stand.
Position your head above my shoulder
and then let it rest.
Move your right hand to my chest
and stroke me where I feel the softest.
Rub your left hand over and over
from my neck to my hip.
Fondling in a cyclic motion
with wandering fingertips.
Eyes closed, bodies embraced
under the moon light.
Savouring and relishing
the last hug of the night.

Poem: A Bad Man - Nassau, Bahamas

I’m a bad man;
well I have the “bad” part right.
But it’s no comfort because the handcuffs I adorn
seem so painfully tight.
I didn’t want to lose “face”;
I didn’t want anyone telling me what to do!
So I stabbed that “sucker” with a blade
and watched him collapse on my tennis shoe.
Then I ran with my “Boy” around the corner
until he was caught by a security guard.
I heard him scream
as he was tackled to the ground,
I heard him crying for me to help
as I jumped into the nearest yard.
I saw the police surrounding me;
I dropped to my knees when I saw the second gun.
I shouldn’t have used the knife on “that man”
but the cruel deed is done.
It happened so fast, I was so mad
and I didn’t want to be labeled as a “punk”
or a “sissy”!
In my haste I killed someone’s son
and maybe someone’s daddy.
Sadly, I’m going to have many years in jail
to ponder my plight.
I’m a bad man;
well I have the “bad” part right.

Don’t let that man‘s blistering anger boil you down
until you fade away like water vapor.
Girl, leave him before it’s too late,
before you tear to shreds like worn sand paper.
His verbal vicious daggers stab at your heart
and then carve sluggishly at your mind.
You start to believe in his poisonous remarks
and your self worth (like your courage),
becomes harder for you to find.
The emotional stress
slowly chafes away at your character
and evilly scrapes away at your self esteem.
You keep thinking
that you are not worthy of his respect
and you wear all of the misplaced blame
in a mask of shame.
Your kids look at you with love and compassion
but you only see pity in their adoring eyes.
Yet you won’t abandon him
and it’s not because of the carnal craving
between your catering thighs.
You love this man who pummels you his words,
and drop kicks you with his spiteful jokes.
You support him as he degrades you
in front of family and friends,
declaring fires where there was never smoke.
You may not need the financial security
his money provides;
but you want to maintain the sham of a happy home.
You don’t want to walk the future’s freedom alone
even though his insults are whipping you
towards mental doom.
Girl, before you tear to shreds like worn sand paper;
leave him before it’s too late.
Don’t let the psychiatric ward, the hospital
or the morgue be your untimely fate.
