Poem: Everlasting - In honor of the Bahamian treasure - Viveca Watkins - Nassau, Bahamas

Viveca, you are everlasting
with every crystal tear,
everlasting though you are not near,
Flesh and bone may soon disappear
but everlasting is the love we share.
Words not spoken
expressed through past hugs and deeds.
Laughter and acting was used to fulfill the other’s needs.
Countless sacrifices unknown,
negative emotions seldom displayed.
Memories of lessons learned;
smiles that will never fade.
Viveca, the heart is the place
where we will have communion forever.
It’s a cord of consolation
that death and time cannot sever.
Everlasting, means
never truly saying goodbye,
Everlasting is our love,
like a rose that never dies.
Rest in peace my friend
