Poem: I prayed for her

I prayed for her, but God gave me you.
Now that I have known you, my Queen,
no other woman will ever do!
You are the constellation of gleaming stars in my night
that gift an illuminating twinkle to my eyes.
You make me soar majestically like a sacred condor
hovering in the velvet blue sky.

I float peacefully like a fluffy white cloud
full of unbridled joy for your affection.
My waves of admiration flow to your shore
and cover its beach with utter elation.
She was my world, and when she left
I felt like a hollow song without a verse.
Until I saw your angelic face that defied time and space,
and you became my universe.
I’m the melodic evening tide attracted to you,
the mystical moon I gladly pursue.
I prayed for her repeatedly on my knees,
but thank God for giving me you.
